Job summary

Creative Dining Services on the Davenport University campus in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Grill Cook. This Monday–Friday role supports our dining services team with high-quality, freshly cooked meals prepared to recipe standards on campus.

Shift is Monday-Thursday 10am-6:30pm and Friday-7am-3:30pm. Pay range is $17-$18 per hour, with competitive pay and benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, Earned Wage Access, an

Responsibilities

• Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service
• Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appeal
• Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production
• Store food items according to established standards of practice; utilize proper labeling and dating
• Hold prepared food items at appropriate temperatures (below 40° if cold, above 135° if hot)
• Follow established work rules and regulations; ready for work in the kitchen, in uniform, at the scheduled time
• Putting away/Pulling stock as needed
• Maintain production records (food usage, overages, shortages, customer counts, etc.)

Bring the heat! Creative Dining Services is looking for a Grill Cookto join our team on the campus of Davenport University. This is a Monday through Friday position.

Shift: Monday-Thursday 10am-6:30pm and Friday-7am-3:30pm

The Grill Cook is responsible for ensuring that high-quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation, in a fiscally responsible and safe manner, and works cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team, assisting with any aspect of the dining services program necessary..
