Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Grill Cook at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. You will be a team player focused on food quality and customer service, preparing nutritious dishes with a friendly, service-oriented approach.

This full-time, on-site role offers varied shifts and a pay rate of $17.60 per hour. You’ll work with grill stations and kitchen equipment, follow recipes, and help maintain a safe, efficient dining operation for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented and adaptable, able to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen.
• 0–2 years of related kitchen experience is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn and follow recipes and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, grill, and present hot and/or cold food for meals and events.
• Read and measure ingredients according to recipes.
• Operate grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment as needed.
• Attend shifts on time with regularity.
• Perform other duties as assigned per client needs.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $17.60 per hour - $17.60 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a Grill Cook at Sodexo, you are a team player and food waste reducer. You'll prepare and create nutritious dishes while putting customer service at the heart of everything you do. Your passion for food and warm smile will make a positive impact and brighten the day of those you serve.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipe(s)
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
