Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Grill Cook at Northern State University to join a collaborative kitchen team. You’ll prepare and present a variety of hot and cold items, support food waste reduction, and keep customer service at the heart of every plate.

The position offers full-time hours with varying shifts, open availability preferred, and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, medical/dental/vision, tuition reimbursement, 401k, and more.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and events.
• Read and measure ingredients according to recipes.
• Operate grill, fryer and other kitchen equipment and serve customers when needed.
• Attend shifts on time and complete assigned tasks.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $14 per hour - $16 per hour

What You’ll Do: As a Grill Cook at Sodexo, you are a team player and food waste reducer. You’ll prepare and create nutritious dishes while putting customer service at the heart of everything you do. Responsibilities include:

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipe(s)
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
