Job summary

Jayden Deli To Go in Dyckman, Manhattan, NY is seeking an experienced grill cook to prepare steak, chicken, ribs, burgers, and other BBQ‑style foods. You will operate grills and related equipment, keep the kitchen clean, and ensure food safety while meeting customer orders in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have previous grill/BBQ experience, strong teamwork and communication skills, and proficiency in English (Spanish a plus).

Qualifications

• Previous grill, BBQ, restaurant or kitchen experience preferred.
• Experience cooking steak, chicken, ribs, burgers and other grilled foods.
• Knowledge of grill equipment and food preparation.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• English required; Spanish is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Cook food accurately and efficiently according to orders.
• Operate and maintain grill, griddle and other cooking equipment.

• Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures.
• Work quickly during busy hours and monitor cooking times.
• Restock supplies as needed and communicate with coworkers.
• Assist with cleaning and closing duties.
