Job summary

Fort Sill Apache F&B LLC, operating Apache Grill, seeks a team member to prepare, plate and serve menu items, ensuring hot foods hot and cold foods cold, with condiments and standard items to complete orders.

This role requires opening/closing the grill per procedures, maintaining sanitation, cash handling, and operating the POS. Compliance with Eye Hi Goodbye program and background/drug checks is required, along with Oklahoma food handler permit and ABLE license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Hospitality experience helpful but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions.
  • Must pass background check and drug screen; obtain Oklahoma food handler permit; ABLE license.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, dish up and serve food according to recipes and procedures.
  • Open and close Apache Grill per operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, stocked, and functional work area.
  • Provide friendly, attentive service and resolve guest concerns as needed.
  • Operate food holding/production systems, kitchen equipment, and POS systems with accuracy.

Essential FunctionsPortray a positive attitude under all circumstances, understand and represent the core values of Apache Casino Hotel and live the mission of always providing exceptional service.Prepare, dish up and serve food menu items offered at Apache Grill according to established recipes and procedures, serving hot food hot and cold food cold, with appropriate condiments, napkins, and other standard products to complete the order, ensuring complete customer (guest & team member) satisfactionResponsible for opening and/or closing Apache Grill in accordance with operating procedures, safety and sanitation regulations, and cash control policies and proceduresDemonstrate an upbeat and outgoing demeanor while on duty, remembering the customer is always right. Comply with reasonable requests with a smile, without challenging the requestEnsure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies, procedures, and control protocolsEffectively communicate with and provide guests with required service, resolving guest service issues in accordance with authorityEnsure appearance of Apache Grill is maintained in a clean, well-stocked and functional mannerUse knowledge of food and beverage sanitation, guest service, cash control policies, practices, and protocolsKnowledge, skills, and abilities to work with personal computers, point of sale systems, food holding and production systems, kitchen equipment, safety equipment, food, and beverage sanitation, etc.Perform other related duties as may be assigned by reporting supervisorUnderstand and comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program.Regular attendance is required.Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/casino industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of Apache Casino Hotel. We are busiest during weekends and holidays, events, and peak seasons as they occur. The team member is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.The team member will be exposed to various foods and chemicals as well as latex. While performing job duties the team member is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate, and there are fluctuations in lighting due to flashing lights from slot machines and band lighting.At a minimum, the selected candidate will be required to pass a background check, and drug-screening test, and obtain an Oklahoma food handler permit. The team member should have the ability to obtain an Oklahoma ABLE license.General Sign-Off:The team member is expected to adhere to all company policies and applicable federal/state/local regulations.Minimum QualificationsAny combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, with a high school diploma or GED preferredNo prior experience required, but previous hospitality experience with strong customer service orientation is preferredAbility to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
