Job summary

The State of Washington's Department of Children, Youth and Families seeks a Grievance Resolution Coordinator at Green Hill School in Chehalis. This PS3 role oversees the JR Grievance Program, using restorative justice to foster a safe, supportive environment for youth and staff.

You will train staff, document cases, and report data to leadership while guiding resolutions at the lowest appropriate level. Strong communication and crisis-management skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Six years of progressively increasing responsibilities in a juvenile rehabilitation/justice or correctional setting.
• Associates degree from an accredited institution recognized by USDOE/CHEA, and four years in juvenile rehabilitation/justice or correctional setting.
• Bachelor degree plus four years in juvenile rehabilitation/justice or correctional setting.
• Ability to learn and grow; meet the needs of others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage, and coordinate all aspects of the Grievance Resolution Program and activities.
• Attempt early resolutions by meeting with the youth to open lines of communication and resolve concerns.
• Review statements, records, and related materials for each incident of reported retaliation.
• Provide Grievance Resolution Program data to the Appointing Authority monthly.
• Interpret and explain applicable laws, rules, regulations and RCWs for staff and youth.
• Promote staff awareness and education.
