Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking an on-site Engineer in Youngstown, OH to ensure reliability of the distribution system. You will analyze outages, develop strategic improvement plans, and prepare reports and budgets for distribution reliability projects, while coordinating with the Distribution Control Center and regulatory teams.

Qualified candidates have an ABET-accredited engineering degree (or equivalent), and relevant knowledge of NESC/NEC.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Engineering or Engineering Technology is required.
• PE license is a plus or equivalent advanced degree.
• Knowledge of NESC and NEC standards.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Work safely following the Accident Prevention Handbook.
• Assess and improve reliability of Ohio distribution systems.
• Develop plans to meet reliability targets and modernization.
• Analyze data for outages, DEMI, CEMI, and WPC.
• Prepare reliability reports and budget estimates.
• Support storm process and regulatory requirements.
