Job summary

Vistra Corporate Services Company in Irving, TX is seeking an Engineer for Grid Integration and Interconnection to support large load and generation projects. You will prepare interconnection applications, review transmission studies, and assist in regulatory policy and queue reforms across ISOs.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of ISO interconnection experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with major power system tools. Hybrid work option is available in the Texas area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years in transmission/interconnection in one or more ISO regions (CAISO, MISO, ERCOT, NYISO, PJM, SPP, ISO-NE).
• Experience with load flow, dynamic analysis and short circuit studies using listed tools.
• Ability to analyze injection, deliverability and ATC studies and assess risk.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of meeting timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage interconnection applications for large load and generator projects.
• Support steady state and dynamic studies, short circuit, SSO and PSCAD models.
• Analyze POI locations, switching schemes, and regulatory policy inputs for interconnection.
• Develop models and perform injection/deliverability studies across ISOs and regions.
• Review ISO transmission plans and participate in GIA negotiations as needed.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure timely deliverables and ISO/compliance adherence.
