Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Principal Manager, Systems Innovation to guide the strategic development and adoption of next-generation grid capabilities.

You will lead cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, IT, and regulatory groups to translate innovation into scalable, real‑world outcomes that advance reliability, affordability, wildfire risk reduction, and deep decarbonization.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
• Experience in strategy/management consulting, venture capital, investment banking, or corporate strategy.

Responsibilities

• Shapes SCE's overall strategy, leveraging analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and creativity skills to help achieve the overall business objectives.
• Directs the delivery against key metrics, milestones, KPIs, and contractual obligations for a portfolio of projects to encompass expectation setting and management against quality, time and financial objectives.
• Leads and oversees active corporate development processes, including acquisitions, partnerships, and divestitures, informing and partnering with internal and external stakeholders throughout the process.
• Oversees and manages the annual strategic planning process for SCE ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Supports and contributes to the company's overall sustainability and ESG strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives.
