Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in electric power distribution, including monitoring, switching, and outage management.
• Experience with SCADA or similar control systems and interpreting one-line diagrams.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and operating procedures in electric utility operations.
• Effective communication to coordinate with field crews and stakeholders during routine and emergencies.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure in a fast-paced control room.
• Experience in municipal or public power utilities is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays for 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, control, and coordinate the electric distribution system using SCADA.
• Respond to system alarms, switching requests, and outage events.
• Issue switching orders and clearances and communicate with field crews.
• Document system events and maintain logs per procedures.
• Support system restoration, contingency planning, and safety improvements.
