Job summary

Qualifications

  • National Registry Paramedic certification.

  • AHA ACLS,BLS,PALS Instructor certifications.
  • Hazardous Material Training and CT EMS Instructor credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day administration of the EMS program.
  • Oversee EMS Continuing Education programs; schedule CME (6 programs) annually.
  • Liaise for EMT and paramedic clinical rotation programs.
  • Oversee hospital QI-EMS program and review prehospital patient care reports.
  • Collaborate with EMS Medical Director and BH EMS physician on clinical non-compliance issues.
  • Schedule peer review QI sessions with paramedics; liaise with local EMS, fire and police agencies.
  • Assist the trauma program and quality improvement activities.
  • Support continuing education programs and ACS verifications.

Responsibilities

EDUCATION

Paramedic Program certification and license. Bachelor's Degree in related health sciences field or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE

5 Years EMS Experience as a Paramedic, 3 years of EMS leadership experience, 3 years QA/QI experience. Critical Care paramedic experience preferred

LICENSURE

National Registry Paramedic, CT Paramedic License, AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS Instructor certifications, CT Emergency Medical Services Instructor required. Hazardous Material Training, Critical Care Paramedic preferred.

Position Overview
