We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Golf Course Greenskeeper to maintain the quality and appearance of our golf course. The Greenskeeper will be responsible for maintaining all areas of the course, including tees, greens, fairways, bunkers, and landscaping. The ideal candidate will be skilled in turf management, equipment operation, and ensuring that the golf course provides an exceptional experience for our golfers.
Responsibilities
- Mow, trim, and edge greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and other course areas.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides in accordance with safety standards and environmental guidelines.
- Aerate and top dress the greens, fairways, and tees as needed to maintain healthy turf.
- Remove debris, leaves, and litter from the course to maintain a clean environment.
- Maintain sand traps, repair ball marks, and fill divots to ensure a well-groomed course.
- Manage and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper water distribution.
- Maintain landscaping features, including trees, shrubs, flowers, and water features around the golf course.
- Assist in planting, pruning, and watering plants to ensure a vibrant and healthy landscape.
- Safely operate and maintain various turf equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and aerators.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, sharpening blades, and ensuring equipment is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations regarding the use of chemicals, equipment, and machinery.
- Maintain an understanding of environmental policies and practices to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Interact with golfers and team members in a courteous and professional manner.
- Assist with requests related to course conditions and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a golf course greenskeeper or in landscape maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of turf management and horticulture practices is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of golf course maintenance practices, including irrigation systems, turf management, and pest control.
- Ability to operate and maintain grounds equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods of time.
- Pesticide Applicator License (preferred but not required).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate turf management equipment.

Hourly Rate: $20-$25 Per Hour
