Job summary

City of Amarillo is seeking a Greenskeeper I to perform semi-skilled groundskeeping duties on the golf course. You will operate mowing gear, assist with course maintenance, and keep facilities clean and well-maintained.

The role requires the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to perform tasks in various weather conditions. A valid Texas driver's license and basic maintenance skills are important for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years related maintenance or groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to operate and repair basic equipment and perform semi-skilled tasks.

Responsibilities

• Mow greens, fairways, tees, fringes and roughs as directed.
• Service ball washers and change cup locations as needed.
• Clean restrooms and perform minor painting and clean-up tasks.
• Assist in course improvement projects and sod laying.
• Work shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays; overtime as required.
