Job summary

Discovery Land Company, at Gozzer Ranch in Coeur d'Alene, ID, is seeking a Greenskeeper to support daily turf care including mowing greens, edging bunkers, watering and fertilizing, and maintaining tee markers. You will assist in project work to construct and repair greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers, while following safety guidelines.

Knowledge of grounds construction/maintenance, ability to operate tools and light equipment, and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of methods and materials used in grounds and landscape area construction/maintenance work.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment.
• Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
• Comply with Idaho State Health and Wellness regulations.
• Possess basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to work effectively with all personality types.
• Ability to understand and carry-out verbal and written instructions independently.

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, mornings, and nights.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate mowers on greens, aprons, fairways, tees and roughs.
• Edge, weed and rake bunkers to keep them maintained and ready for golf daily.
• Fuel up all equipment and check fluid levels; report issues to the equipment manager.
• Return all equipment to the designated location at the maintenance yard and keep the yard clean.
• Water and fertilize all turf surfaces as directed by supervisor.
• Set tee markers and change pin locations on greens daily.
• Repair ball marks on greens and fill divots on tees and fairways.
• Apply chemicals and fertilizers in liquid and granular forms under supervision.
• Assist in project work; construct greens/tees/fairways/bunkers; lay sod and seed surfaces.
• May operate dump trucks or other light equipment.
• Perform other duties as directed and communicate safety concerns to supervisor.
