Position Summary:

• As a Greens and Fairway Mower Equipment Operator at Sand Valley, you’ll operate specialized mowing equipment with precision and care, helping to maintain exceptional course conditions and deliver a top-tier playing experience. This role requires attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and a collaborative spirit.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operate specialized mowing equipment to maintain greens, fairways, and other turf areas
• Complete daily assignments as directed by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendents
• Inspect and clean equipment before and after use, perform basic maintenance, and report any issues
• Assist with additional course maintenance tasks as needed, such as ball mark repair, divot filling, course setup, and trash removal
• Occasionally operate other machinery, including tractors and skid steers

What You Bring to the Team:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience operating golf course maintenance equipment preferred
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and willingness to learn
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly
• Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and operate equipment for extended periods

Working Conditions:

• You’ll work both indoors and outdoors, exposed to the beauty of nature - rain or shine. Be prepared for the elements, including inclement weather, rapid equipment movement, misdirected golf balls, and occasional course chemicals.
