Engineering Services & Products C in Dyersville, IA is seeking a hands-on greenhouse technician to support a hydroponic leafy greens and vine crop operation. You will work with a manager and greenhouse team in environmentally controlled facilities to sow, transplant, harvest, and package produce for customers.

The role emphasizes data collection, exacting quality, and maintaining nutrient solutions and water quality, with responsibilities spanning weekly seed schedules, pruning, pest management

Job Details: Job Location: Manufacturing Facility - Dyersville, IA, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: 1st Shift, Summary

The successful candidate will work with the manager and greenhouse specialist team to care for a variety of leafy greens and vining crops in environmentally controlled hydroponic greenhouses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting with a weekly seed sowing schedule
• Transplanting leafy greens and vining crops into larger grow out systems
• Harvesting and packaging produce to send out to our customers
• Assisting in collecting data, measuring, recording, and analyzing
• Maintaining various hydroponic nutrient solutions and general water quality
• Training and pruning vining crops including tomatoes and cucumbers
• Washing NFT channels and deep-water culture rafts weekly
• Maintaining a very clean growing environment
• Scrubbing totes and buckets
• Assisting in monitoring our Integrated Pest Management Program
• Asist in assembling hydroponic growing systems
• Weeding flower beds
• Other duties as assigned or required

• Experience with hydroponics, including drip, ebb and flow, DWC, and NFT systems.
• Some knowledge and passion for hydroponic plant production (vine and leaf crops)
• Qualified applicants will also possess excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and be a team player

Education and/or Experience

• Associate's degree
• Or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
• Must have the communication skills appropriate for the job
• Ability to follow instructions

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
