Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking an undergraduate student to assist in greenhouse research activities, including potting, planting, fertilizing, watering, weeding, pollinating, data collection and harvesting plants from different breeding populations.

Responsibilities include maintaining a neat greenhouse space, assisting with basic field and laboratory research, tissue sample collection, labeling field studies, and basic lab chores such as washing glassware, preparing solutions and waste

Qualifications

• Undergraduate students with majors in plant biology or agricultural sciences.
• Prior lab experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist greenhouse activities: potting, planting, fertilizing, watering, weeding, pollinating, harvesting, data collection.
• Prepare media and basic lab solutions; wash glassware; autoclave supplies; waste disposal.
• Set up field studies with labeling and markers.
