Job summary

Gotham Greens, Dallas area, is seeking a Growing Specialist to support high‑tech greenhouse operations in Seagoville. This hands‑on role focuses on preventative IPM practices, sanitation, and cultural controls, with close collaboration to the Head Grower.

You will manage scouting, data logging, and record-keeping, utilizing Excel for data analysis and dashboards. Weekend hours and flexibility are required as the seasons demand.

Qualifications

• College graduate or trade school in horticulture.
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in commercial greenhouses.
• Experience in CEA and leafy greens.
• Experience using biological controls to manage pest pressures.
• Working knowledge of data collection and analysis using Excel.
• Maintain state agricultural certificate and uphold Worker Protection Standards.
• Passionate commitment to the company vision.
• Ability to crouch, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Available to work weekends and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Focus on preventative programs – scouting, sanitation, cultural practices and staying ahead of seasonal trends.
• Oversee beneficial insect program – rates, ordering, and release.
• Work with Head Grower to determine treatments for greenhouse issues.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain all IPM equipment.
• Oversee all scouting and monitoring.
• Communicate plans and issues to the team.
• Maintain all company and food safety records.
• Comply with Federal Worker Protection Standards.
• Support weekly operational tasks in the greenhouse.
• Manage fertilizer/stock tank mixing and log daily levels.
