Job summary

Sun World International is seeking a hands-on Greenhouse and Farm Equipment Specialist to lead greenhouse operations for table grape, stone fruit, and sub-tropical breeding programs. The role requires planning, supervising staff, and ensuring pest management and irrigation efficiency on-site at our California facility.

Responsibilities include coordinating equipment maintenance, training seasonal workers, and collaborating with Breeders and R&D to support ongoing breeding initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Viticulture, Horticulture, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in greenhouse management, preferably with table grapes or deciduous crops.
• Knowledge of greenhouse fertigation and crop management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule greenhouse activities for diverse crops to ensure healthy growth.
• Oversee irrigation, nutrition, pest management, and compliance with safety policies.
• Manage greenhouse and farm equipment maintenance and labor scheduling.
• Train staff and contract workers; ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Collaborate with breeders and R&D to support breeding programs.
