Job summary

FuntoNetwork seeks a Transportation Field Quality and Safety Inspector for the North Carolina Department of Transportation project. The role focuses on inspecting materials, verifying safety controls, and delivering documented evidence tied to requirements.

Responsibilities include tracking work to the RFP scope, reviewing addenda, and coordinating with multiple teams to ensure compliant, timely delivery of quality outputs. Optional self-interview may be offered.

Qualifications

• Experience performing Transportation Field Quality and Safety Inspector tasks in public-sector or regulated environments.
• Ability to produce complete, reviewable work products tied to requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Strong documentation, stakeholder coordination, risk awareness, and deadline discipline.
• Licenses, certifications, clearances, or local delivery capacity as required by the solicitation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and workmanship; maintain test/daily records and verify safety controls.
• Trace work to the RFP scope and acceptance criteria with supporting evidence.
• Review solicitation materials and document assumptions, open items, exclusions, risks, and client decisions.
• Prepare inputs, work products, estimates, and delivery evidence for proposal or post-award delivery.
• Coordinate interfaces with project management, business, technical, field, quality, compliance, and operations workstreams.
• Maintain status, issue, decision, change, and evidence records; escalate blockers.
