Job summary

Sentinel Health Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to perform Compensation and Pension examinations for veterans from a commercial office location. You will review medical records, conduct physical assessments, and submit findings through VA portals, with exams conducted at approved facilities.

Ideal candidates hold board-certified NP credentials with at least 2 years of clinical experience and a collaborative agreement if required by state law. A flexible, multi-day schedule is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must have own OFFICE and be located at a commercial site
• Board-certified Family and Adult Nurse Practitioners (1099) with active credentials
• Must have own Malpractice Insurance (as named insured)
• Must have Commercial Liability Insurance for your Practice Location
• Must have a Collaborative Agreement (if required by your state)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience

Responsibilities

• Perform Compensation and Pension Examinations for Veterans
• Review digital medical records thoroughly
• Conduct physical assessments based on disability claims
• Submit information via online portal for VA review (claims)
• Exams conducted at approved facilities with required equipment and internet access
• Flexible scheduling: 1–3 days per week; extendable per practice needs

Responsibilities:

• Perform Compensation and Pension Examinations on Veterans
• Complete a thorough review of digital medical records
• Conduct a physical assessment based on specific disability claims
• Submit information gathered through an online portal for the VA to review as part of a compensation/pension claim.
• All exams will take place at approved facilities with proper equipment and internet access provided.
• Must be able to perform exams a minimum of 1 to 3 days per week
• If you have your own practice, you can conduct these exams with a flexible schedule that works with your current patient scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified Family and Adult Nurse Practitioners (1099)
• One year NP Experience or some prior VA work is ideal.
• Design your own schedule (7 days a week, weekends encouraged). Availability of at least 3 to 7 days a month is preferred.

Preferred experience performing Veteran exam, workman’s compensation exams or any disability exams Prior VA employee or any relationship with Veterans.
