Job summary

Sentinel Health Services seeks board-certified Nurse Practitioners to perform Compensation and Pension Examinations for veterans. The role requires 2+ years of clinical experience and a commercially located office within 50 miles of the job site.

You will review digital medical records, conduct disability-focused physical assessments, and submit findings through the VA portal. Flexible 1–3 days per week on a 1099 contract basis.

Qualifications

• NP must be board-certified (Family or Adult).
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.
• Own office required, commercially located (not home-based).
• Must carry malpractice insurance naming you as insured.
• Must have professional liability insurance for your practice location.
• State requirements may call for a Collaborative Agreement.

Responsibilities

• Perform Compensation and Pension Examinations for veterans.
• Complete thorough review of digital medical records.
• Conduct physical assessments for specific disability claims.
• Submit information via the VA online portal for review.
• Exams to be conducted at approved facilities with proper equipment and internet access.

• Your Office Must be at a Commercial Location (Not Home Based)

• Submit information gathered through an online portal for the VA to review as part of a compensation/pension claim.
• All exams will take place at approved facilities with proper equipment and internet access provided.
• Must be able to perform exams a minimum of 1 to 3 days per week
• If you have your own practice, you can conduct these exams with a flexible schedule that works with your current patient scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified Family and Adult Nurse Practitioners (1099)
• One year NP Experience or some prior VA work is ideal.
• Design your own schedule (7 days a week, weekends encouraged). Availability of at least 3 to 7 days a month is preferred.

Preferred experience performing Veteran exam, workman’s compensation exams or any disability exams Prior VA employee or any relationship with Veterans.
