Job summary

RTI International is seeking a hands-on Chemical Pilot Plant Technician to operate and troubleshoot pilot-scale systems in a 24/7 environment in Morris, Minnesota. The role blends lab work with pilot plant operations and offers travel accommodations for the 3‑month engagement, with potential for full-time employment at RTI Headquarters.

The ideal candidate has a HS Diploma or equivalent with 5–10 years of related experience or an Associate’s Degree with strong process operations skills, plus

Qualifications

Experience in pilot plant or industrial process environments.
Familiarity with gas chromatography or process instrumentation.
Strong foundation in chemical or process operations.

Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot pilot-scale systems including reactors, pumps, compressors, and separation equipment.
Record and analyze operational data and prepare clear summaries and reports.
Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Collect and prepare samples from pilot plant operations and ensure proper handling.
Perform routine maintenance and coordinate repairs with engineering teams.
