Join Our Team as a Community Based Mental Health Counselor
Are you passionate about providing compassionate and effective mental health care to children, adults and families? HWS Best Health Counseling is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of adults, and families, in-person in the community as well as our partner site, The Refuge Of Hope. This is a great opportunity to do meaningful work with a well-established and collaborative team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete Diagnostic Assessments: Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments to understand clients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Obtain Consent: Obtain consent for treatment and release of information forms in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
- Provide Individual Counseling: Conduct individual counseling sessions to address clients' mental health concerns and promote well-being.
- Family Sessions: Conduct family sessions as needed to address family dynamics and support holistic healing.
- Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique goals and challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a mental health counselor (LPC or LPCC), clinical social worker (LSW or LISW), or psychologist (PsyD) in the state of Ohio.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, teenagers, adults, and families in a mental health setting, including the homeless population.
- Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms for virtual counseling sessions.
