WHAS11 is seeking a dynamic Lifestyle Host / MSJ for Great Day Live, our locally produced lifestyle show. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of one of Louisville's most beloved entertainment programs. We're looking for a creative storyteller with strong shooting, writing, editing, and on-camera skills to produce engaging content that highlights the vibrancy and diversity of our city.
Responsibilities:
• Shooting: Capture compelling video of local events, restaurants, art exhibits, and human-interest stories, using a variety of camera equipment and techniques to deliver visually stunning content.
• Writing: Develop engaging scripts and narratives that bring Louisville's stories to life, crafting a unique voice that resonates across broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
• Editing: Produce polished, professional-quality packages using dynamic editing techniques to create visually captivating stories.
• Hosting: Host and help produce at least five shows per week, connecting with the audience in an authentic and energetic way.
• Story Production: Conceptualize, shoot, write, and edit multiple story packages with a focus on innovative and fresh storytelling approaches.
• Idea Generation: Pitch creative story ideas, segment concepts, and unique show locations.
• Social Media: Maintain an active and engaging social media presence on behalf of Great Day Live to interact with and grow the audience.
• Sponsorship Integration: Collaborate with the team to execute integrated sponsorship initiatives that align with the show's tone and audience.
Requirements:
• Strong hosting, shooting, writing, and editing skills with the ability to deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Innovative mindset and passion for local content creation, community engagement, and lifestyle storytelling.
• Ability to bring a charismatic and authentic on-camera presence, showcasing personality while connecting with viewers.
