Job summary

Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services is seeking a supervisor to oversee daily water quality environmental compliance and enforcement activities, including the Grease Management Program for Food Service Establishments. The role ensures adherence to environmental rules, plans reviews, and staff supervision.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science (or related field) and at least three years of environmental compliance experience, plus valid driving credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, or related field required; supplemented by three years of experience in environmental compliance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff; manages performance and schedules.
• Coordinates work activities; provides training and technical guidance.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Reviews plans for compliance and oversees reporting and documentation.
• Maintains and audits program databases; generates reports for management.
• Performs public relations and outreach related to environmental compliance.
• Interprets code requirements and assists regulated community to resolve issues.
