Grand Rapids Christian High School in Grand Rapids, MI seeks an Inclusion Aide to support students needing inclusion services at the high school level. The role is part-time, approximately 20 hours per week for the school year, with collaboration across classrooms and with the Inclusion Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Michigan Teaching Certificate preferred but not required.

• Meet regularly with classroom teachers to identify essential learning targets and how students will be assessed
• Document learning targets for each unit
• Collect data on student progress
• Support students in study halls
• Lead small chapel group
• Assist students with organizational skills and study habits
• Meet regularly with the Inclusion Coordinator
• Participate in district and department-led professional development

COORDINATES WITH:Inclusion Aides, Classroom Teachers

POSITION SUMMARY

The Inclusion Aide will support students requiring inclusion services at the high school.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Support students receiving inclusion support

Support teachers with accommodations and modifications for students who receive inclusion services

Assist teachers in modifying assignments and assessments

Support students in general education and small group classes

Meet regularly with classroom teachers to identify which learning targets are essential for the students they support and how the students will be assessed on these learning targets

Document the learning targets students are working on for each unit

Collect data on student progress

Support students in study halls

Lead small chapel group

Assist students with organizational skills and study habits

Meet regularly with the Inclusion Coordinator

Participate in district and department-led professional development
