Job summary

Vision Plastics, Inc. in Wilsonville, OR is hiring for a graveyard shift Machine Operator to run injection molding machines and produce quality parts. The role emphasizes punctual attendance, safety, and teamwork in a clean environment with on-the-job training.

You will follow POIs, monitor machinery, and log rejects or process variances. The job requires basic math, reading, and ability to stand long hours in a non-climate-controlled setting.

Qualifications

• Must read, understand and verbally communicate work instructions.
• Must perform basic math operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Must have basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Must be able to manually cycle the machine by opening/closing gates.

Responsibilities

• Operate injection molding machine to produce quality parts.
• Read and follow Production Operating Instructions (POI) and verbal directions.
• Run machine at required cycle time and monitor for malfunctions.
• Verify parts meet quality standards and log rejects in RT system.
• Process parts per POI, including trimming, packaging, and labeling.
• Maintain part counts manually or with scales.
• Fill out work orders and verify lot numbers.
• Communicate clearly with teammates and report issues to supervisors.
• Ensure supplies and tools are stocked for shifts; prep for next shift.
• Suggest improvements to operator procedures and submit via program.
