Job summary

Cedar Fair Entertainment Company is seeking a security officer to patrol park property during the night shift, ensuring the safety of employees and guests. Responsibilities include controlling park access, inspecting areas, responding to emergencies, and maintaining detailed incident reports.

Qualified candidates will hold a valid Guard Card and driver's license, be at least 18, and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment while upholding park policies and safety

Qualifications

• Valid Guard Card required.
• Valid Driver License required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to lift, carry, and balance heavy loads.
• Physical qualifications to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout shift.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Protect employees and company property.
• Control park access, check vehicle permits and scan IDs for team members, vendors, and contractors.
• Patrol and inspect assigned areas of the park.
• Keep unauthorized personnel out of restricted areas.
• Respond to alarms, first aid, and other emergencies.
• Monitor safety hazards such as fire, theft, and vandalism.
• Write detailed reports of damage, incident logs, and security records.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
• Enforce park policies and procedures.
• Remain calm in emergency situations.

Job description

Overview:

Rule breakers better watch out when you're on our security team. You'll spend the night patrolling park property, protecting our people and our property -- all while securing valuable law experience and rewarding benefits.

Normal shift hours are between 11pm and 8am.

Officers will receive an additional shift differential rate of $1.50/HR for work performed between 12:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.

Responsibilities:

• Protect employees and company property.
• Control park access, checking vehicle permits and scanning ID badges for team members, vendors, and contractors.
• Patrol and inspect assigned areas of the park.
• Keep unauthorized personnel out of restricted areas.
• Rapidly respond to active alarms, first aid, and other emergency situations.
• Monitor all areas for safety hazards, including fire, theft, and vandalism.
• Write detailed reports of damage, incident logs, and security records.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
• Enforce all park policies and procedures.
• Remain calm in emergency situations.
