Job summary

Everstory Partners in Springfield, MO, is seeking a dedicated Cemetery Groundskeeper to maintain our grounds with attention to detail and compassion for families.

You will perform landscape tasks, operate maintenance equipment, and ensure safety for staff and visitors while supporting the Grounds Superintendent.

This full-time role requires reliability, ability to lift 80 lbs, and willingness to work holidays or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency required.
• 2+ years experience in maintenance or related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Availability to work holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance duties such as weed-whacking, lawn mowing, etc.
• Maintain equipment.
• All functions related to funeral services.
• Operate machinery appropriately in a safe manner.
• Install cemetery vaults or assist in installation.
• Install headstones or memorials as needed.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Handle snow removal (if applicable).
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
