Job summary

Rising Voices is seeking an undergraduate or recent graduate for a paid Fall 2026 Organizing Internship, running from September through mid-December, with a 15-hour weekly commitment. Interns will support grassroots organizing efforts to build political power for Asian American communities in Michigan.

Interns report to the Community Organizer and Organizing Director and will access professional development opportunities and staff trainings as scheduling allows.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or recent graduate seeking internship.
  • Paid Fall 2026 Organizing Internship with 15-hour weekly commitment.
  • Hybrid work model based in Southeast Michigan.
  • Commitment to Asian American communities and progressive advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement: Support and help coordinate events such as tabling, signature collection drives, outreach activities, and monthly membership meetings.
  • Campaign Support: Participate in Rising Voices’ ongoing campaigns focused on education and economic justice.
  • Basebuilding: Assist with outreach to expand Rising Voices’ organizing base membership and recruit new members.
  • Outreach: Connect with college campus clubs to support Get Out the Vote efforts with college students.
  • Advocacy & Organizing: Learn and apply grassroots organizing tools and contribute to advocacy efforts.
