Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services in Denton, MD is seeking an Equipment Operator (Grapple Truck). The role entails safe operation of heavy equipment to remove branches and material from lines, using a grapple to load the truck. A Class B CDL with air is required.

Responsibilities include assisting in daily prep, equipment maintenance, maintaining safety, and leading crew tasks as needed. Drivers must travel for storm restoration work and pass a background check and drug

Qualifications

Prior heavy equipment operating experience in relevant industries preferred.
High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.
Must pass background check and drug screen as required.
CDL with air is a MUST to operate trucks over 26,000 lbs.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson and in compliance with safety rules.
Assist in preparing equipment and materials for daily work.
Maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
Lead when required and help crew with daily activities.
Set up barriers, signs, and markers to protect workers and the public.
Track mileage and report to Foreperson; perform storm-duty duties as needed.
