Essential Job Functions:
  1. Operate compaction and lift equipment on the vehicle.
  2. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections as per Waste Pro procedures and D.O.T. guidelines, including safety lane activities and DVIR.
  3. Maintain a clean truck, wash exterior weekly, and inspect under the hood and undercarriage.
  4. Provide a high level of courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of refuse operation.
  5. Answer customer questions and direct them to Customer Service or Sales for additional information.
Other Job Responsibilities:
  • Attend and participate in company-sponsored training courses as assigned.
  • Stay updated on current technology used by Waste Pro USA.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record.
  • At least 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL within the past 7 years.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Understanding of refuse collection policies, procedures, and Department of Transportation requirements.
  • Good hearing and vision (with or without correction).
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain records and communicate effectively in English.
Physical Work Requirements:

  • Ability to push or pull 50 pounds up to 50 times a day.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds independently from ground to waist height up to 50 times a day.
  • Ability to get in and out of the cab of a vehicle 30-50 times daily.
  • Ability to assist with lifting 100 pounds 20-30 times a day.
  • Bend at waist and knees 120-150 times daily.
  • Reach overhead and pull down with 20 pounds of force to secure a tarp.
  • Climb up to 8 feet to deploy a tarp weighing 25 pounds.
  • Work 8-12 hours in extreme weather conditions.
Work Environment:

Work in various environmental conditions, including temperature extremes, noise, fumes, odors, and dust.
