This position is anchored primarily in graphic design, with video production as a supporting skill set, moving fluidly between still and motion media as needed. This contractor serves as the primary hands-on producer fulfilling graphics and video requests that come in from across all church and ministry departments — whether that's designing print collateral for a churchwide campaign, capturing and editing video content for weekend gatherings, or executing a volunteer-produced project — all guided by the creative direction, brand standards, and priorities set by the Art Director.This role is production-focused: the Art Director sets the vision, brand direction, and project priorities, and the Graphics & Video Producer turns that direction into finished graphic and video deliverables efficiently and at volume. I also choose to rejoice with others as they rejoice.**RESPONSIBILITIES*** Fulfill graphic design and video production requests submitted by all church and ministry departments, under the oversight and direction of the Art Director* Implement the Hillside brand and the Art Director's creative direction within specific ministries across print, digital, and video media* Capture high-quality photo and video content for gatherings, online, social media, and off-campus or creative projects* Plan and set up video shoots, including lighting and audio equipment* Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos, and design graphics and print collateral to spec* Conduct interviews and capture b-roll footage as needed* Handle live streaming for events in collaboration with the Production Team* Provide creative visual production support for weekend gatherings and Hillside events* Coordinate and prepare printed collateral needs for ordering, as directed by the Art Director* Manage video archives and graphic assets, keeping footage and files organized* Ensure all graphic and video content aligns with HCC's brand guidelines and the Art Director's vision* Prioritize and manage a queue of incoming graphics/video requests from multiple departments, communicating timelines and status to requesting ministries* Assist with coordinating volunteer team members on filming, editing, or design projects as directed* Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in both design and video production## Qualifications**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE*** Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Film/Video Production, or a related field desired* Prior experience in a graphic design and/or video production setting* A portfolio of work demonstrating strength in graphic design, with supporting video/motion samples* Ability to lead a creative process from concept to final production* Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment and see projects through to completion* Self-starter who needs little supervision* Willingness to listen to feedback and use it to improve* In tune with the latest design and video trends, keeping HCC on the cutting edge* Theologically, doctrinally, and missionally aligned with Hillside on important matters* Strong verbal and written communication skills**REQUIRED TECHNICAL / OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES*** Advanced proficiency in Adobe design tools, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign* Working knowledge of video production and editing tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom), with willingness to grow toward advanced proficiency over time* Working knowledge of camera and production equipment and terminology (e.g., aperture, shutter speed, ISO, tripod, gimbal, codecs, resolution, shotgun mics, lavaliers, etc.)* Web and app design skills desired* Think creatively and execute designs, concepts, and video content within the direction and brand standards set by the Art Director* Maintain consistency of the HCC visual brand across graphic and video media* Use video and graphic storytelling to translate stories of transformation, driving engagement with Hillside through weekend and online attendance* Film and produce creative, compelling content for online classes, workshops, and experiences* Coordinate with the Art Director, Production Team, and requesting ministry departments on project scope, priorities, and deadlines* Provide printing support to ministries, either through print vendors or in-house printing, as directed by the Art Director* Incorporate feedback and revisions from the Art Director on graphic and video content produced for Hillside
