Job summary

Qualifications

• Familiarity with ATA-100, iSpec ATA-2200, S1000D, MIL-STD-38784, MIL-STD-40051.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate project scope and participate in project estimations.
• Work with Technical Writers for revision markups and illustration requests.
• Create or revise illustration source files using approved tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Arbortext Iso Draw, AutoCAD, Corel Designer, NX 12.
• Ensure compliance to all commercial, military, and Collins Aerospace requirements and standards.
• Maintain structure and integrity of illustrations and meet Collins Aerospace quality requirements.
• Follow Collins Aerospace configuration management process for illustrations.

Job description

A graphic illustrator position is available at Collins Aerospace, Cedar Rapids, IA location. In this role, the graphic illustrator will create and revise illustrations for ITAR and non—ITAR technical publications for commercial and military applications. The illustrations must meet commercial, military and Collins Aerospace documentation standards, aligning with industry requirements, project schedules and quality expectations. A Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance in the future is required.

Job Duties

• Evaluate project scope and participating in project estimations as applicable.
• Work directly with project Technical Writer(s) who will provide revision markups, requests for new illustrations, and perform initial review of work.
• Create or revise identified illustration source files utilizing approved tools such as: Adobe Illustrator
• Arbortext Iso Draw
• Adobe Illustrator
• AutoCAD
• Corel Designer
• Nx 12
• Alternative Illustration Tools as identified by Program
• Ensure compliance to all commercial, military, and Collins Aerospace requirements and standards.
