The Guardian US is seeking a seasoned Graphics Editor to lead data-driven visuals for breaking and long-form coverage from our New York office.

You will collaborate with editors, reporters and global teams to plan and deliver accurate, engaging graphics that inform diverse audiences across time zones. This role demands strong leadership, OSINT discernment, and a mobile-first workflow.

Qualifications

• Portfolio of data-driven graphics for digital platforms.
• Experience in fast-paced newsroom environments.
• Ability to manage editorial workflows and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead production of visual journalism from statics to interactive features for US and international news.
• Coordinate coverage with editors, reporters and global teams.
• Own breaking and major stories during US hours with clear handovers.
• Source reliable data from reputable sources and perform cleaning/analysis.
• Oversee visuals from basic charts to complex data visualisation and mapping.
