AVIAN, Inc. in Patuxent River, MD, seeks a Journeyman Graphic Design & Multimedia Specialist to craft high‑quality visual products for Navy and DoD clients.

You will produce multimedia, infographics, branding materials, wall displays, and video with Adobe Creative Cloud, translating complex messages into clear visuals for internal and external stakeholders. The role emphasizes strong design capabilities, multimedia workflows, and the ability to work autonomously or with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Production, Communication, Visual Arts, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.).
• Experience producing multimedia and visual communication products in a defense, government, or corporate environment preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work autonomously or as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
• Portfolio showcasing professional graphic design and multimedia work strongly recommended.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsabilités

• Design and produce multimedia and visual communication products (infographics, illustrations, briefs, branding materials, wall displays, video content) using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Produce high-quality video and multimedia deliverables, including scripting, storyboarding, filming coordination, editing, and final output optimization.
• Create and maintain cohesive visual branding for initiatives, events, campaigns, and senior leadership.
• Support development of presentation materials and executive visuals for internal and external audiences.
• Provide writing support (captions, short articles, talking points, social media content) following AP Style and government guidelines.
• Assist in public affairs and public relations support, including event support and coordination with Public Affairs Offices.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, consistency, and deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex subject matter into clear visuals.
• Occasional travel may be required.
