Job summary

The Social Shepherd is seeking a social-first Graphic & Motion Designer to create compelling motion graphics and video content for paid and organic social across TikTok, Meta, YouTube and Pinterest. You’ll work hands-on with strategy, social and creative teams to bring brand campaigns and BAU content to life, delivering scroll-stopping visuals that perform.

The role requires 2–3 years in motion design, strong Adobe CS skills, a sharp eye for platform formats, and a collaborative, deadline-driven

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in motion design and video editing in marketing or brand.
• Proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Portfolio showing static and motion graphics for social platforms.

Job description

We're looking for a social-first Graphic & Motion Designer who has a sharp eye for creating content for social media across organic and paid channels.

You will play a hands-on creative role in bringing brand campaigns, performance creative and BAU organic social content to life through dynamic motion graphics and sharp video editing, working closely with our strategy, social and creative teams.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing scroll-stopping motion and static assets tailored primarily for Paid and Organic Social (TikTok, Meta, YouTube, Pinterest).
• Editing short-form and long-form video content, combining raw footage, kinetic typography, graphic overlays, and audio to build engaging, performance-led creative.
• Adapting and optimising existing brand assets into dynamic motion and static formats designed for platform-specific safe zones and specs.
• Iterating on visual hooks, creative variations, and ad formats based on performance data and client KPIs.
• Managing your design workflows, maintaining organised visual asset libraries, and delivering high-quality work to agreed timelines.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in motion design and video editing, ideally within a marketing agency or fast-paced brand environment.
• Deep proficiency across the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• A portfolio or showreel showcasing expertise in both static and motion graphics, video editing, and social media content.
• A native understanding of platform-specific best practices, trends, and video formats across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Meta.
• An organised approach to managing design files, rendering pipelines, and multiple project timelines simultaneously.
• A performance mindset - you appreciate the balance between beautiful design aesthetics and assets that drive real conversions.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude to work effectively alongside internal teams.

Compensation Range: $75,000 to $84,000 annually, depending on experience.

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
