Job summary

Working with the Communications Director and Art Director, you will manage projects from concept to production, maintain brand standards, and collaborate with ministry teams to support outreach and worship initiatives.

Qualifications

• Committed and growing follower of Jesus Christ with a passion for using creativity to further the gospel
• Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in graphic design across print and digital media
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and familiarity with creative workflows
• Excellent visual design, typography, layout, and brand application skills
• Detail-oriented with strong project and time management abilities
• Collaborative team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church or willing and able to become a member

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ministry teams to design digital, print, and environmental materials that reflect the church's mission
• Maintain and champion consistent brand standards and visual identity across all communication channels
• Collaborate with the Art Director throughout the creative process, incorporating feedback and ensuring alignment with established creative standards
• Manage multiple design projects from concept to completion while balancing priorities, deadlines, and production requirements
• Coordinate with print vendors to ensure quality, accuracy, and cost-effective production
• Train and support church staff on brand guidelines and basic print production processes
