Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Graphic Designer to join the Strategic Pursuits Creative Solutions team to support proposals and sales work. You’ll engage across teams nationally, focusing on design of proposals, graphics, and presentations from concept to completion.

You’ll bring proven Adobe CS skills and strong PowerPoint experience, with a track record in layout, graphics, and presentation development. A/E/C or sales experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in graphic design, or equivalent A/E/C industry experience.
• At least 5 years professional graphic design experience.
• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft PowerPoint; proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
• Strong knowledge of procedures, technical concepts and brand compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic graphic design solutions to support production of proposals, sales materials, and presentations.
• Plan, conceptualize and design graphics while collaborating with proposal team members and technical staff.
• Convey complex technical information with visually engaging graphics.
• Act as Brand champion, develop process improvements and tools.
• Mentor team members in technical areas.

Your impact

Jacobs seeks a Graphic Designer to join our Strategic Pursuits Creative Solutions team to support proposals and sales work.

The Graphic Designer will be a proactive team player, excited and ready to engage on a multitude of projects with various teams on a national level, focusing on the design and development of proposals and supporting graphics, presentations, and positioning materials - from concept to completion. Must have proven skills with Adobe CS software (primarily InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and strong presentation development experience (primarily PowerPoint). Prior Architectural/Engineering & Construction and/or Proposal and Sales experience a plus.

Applicants must provide either a portfolio link or PDF samples of work that highlight your work in layout, graphics and presentation. This is a non-exempt, hourly paid position. We're hoping to add this team member approximately Nov 1 2026.

Here's What You'll Be Doing

• Lead strategic graphic design solutions to support in the production of winning proposals, sales materials, and presentations, including but not limited to long document layouts, PowerPoint presentations, story boards, covers/dividers, marketing collateral/brochures, illustrations, and interactive PDFs.
• Plan, conceptualize and design compelling and impactful graphics while collaborating with proposal team members and technical staff to strengthen messaging.
• Convey complex, technical information more concisely by developing visually engaging graphics.
• Act as a Brand champion and resource for graphic design methods and tools, develop and implementing process improvements, tool(s) improvements, and best practices.
• Share technical expertise with others and provide guidance and support; mentor other team members in technical areas.

Here's what you'll need

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in graphic design, or related discipline and from a four-year accredited College/University; OR demonstrated work experience in the A/E/C industry that matches the requirements of the position in lieu of degree.
• At least 5 years professional graphic design experience.
• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and Microsoft PowerPoint; proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong knowledge of procedures, technical concepts and brand compliance.

Ideally, you'll also have

• A/E/C and/or Sales experience.
• Experience working with additional creative, visual, interactive, and multimedia tools a plus.
• Collaborative and engaging attitude - works well in a detail-focused, highly deadline-driven, team-oriented environment.
• Proactive mindset - not shy about sharing ideas and working with different teams to bring concepts to life.
• Ability to problem solve and contribute to moderate to complex visual solutions.
• Ability to recognize areas in proposals where graphics can replace text to better tell a story.
• Ability to handle multiple project assignments at a time, set priorities, manage time, and organize work according to best practices.
• Prior experience with map creation, isometrics and cross sections.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when project deadlines require.
• Ability to occasionally travel as needed to support sales efforts in other offices.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $115,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
