We’re seeking a talented Senior Packaging/Graphic Designer with experience in consumer electronics to join our Creative Team and take our packaging to the next level! We are a fashion-forward consumer products company that is looking for the best and brightest to join our talented team in the heart of New York City. This is a fast-growing team with a constant pipeline of new product launches across consumer electronics, giving you real ownership, creative freedom, and the opportunity to make a visible impact. This position is based in our NYC office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the development of innovative, eye-catching packaging for consumer electronics products including computer accessories, LED lights, and audio – balancing branding, technical specifications, and retail-ready aesthetics with clear consumer communication.
• Manage packaging development projects from concept to production, ensuring timelines and milestones are met across multiple product categories simultaneously.
• Collaborate with product development, industrial design, and marketing teams to create packaging that enhances user experience and drives sales.
• Create precise dielines for packaging structures and communicate design specifications effectively to vendors, troubleshooting production challenges as they arise.
• Ensure all designs meet manufacturing, regulatory, and sustainability standards.
• Develop and refine product typography, packaging artwork, and graphics across the full consumer electronics portfolio.
• Mentor and provide design direction to junior designers on the team.
• Stay current on consumer electronics packaging trends and continuously push the boundaries of design innovation.
• Retouch and optimize product photography and renderings for packaging to ensure strong visual impact at retail.
• Review printer proofs and provide pre-press support to ensure final output accuracy before mass production.
• Maintain organized, version-controlled packaging files, templates, and artwork libraries to support efficient project management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BFA in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
• 5+ years of packaging design experience, with a strong portfolio in consumer electronics (computer accessories, audio, LED/lighting, or related categories).
• Proven professional experience working as an in-house designer within a consumer products company.
• Hands-on expertise with logo design, dielines, typography, color, print production, image selection, and complex package structural design.
• Familiarity with electronics compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
• Experience with packaging testing and validation to ensure performance, durability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Exceptional taste in visual design with strong attention to detail, particularly in typography and layout.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Familiarity with packaging production processes, printing materials, and sustainability considerations.
