Overview

A New York-based wholesale and design company is seeking talented Packaging Graphic Designers to create innovative, trend-driven packaging across multiple consumer product categories. This role is responsible for developing compelling visual designs that align with brand strategy while ensuring all artwork is production-ready.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, packaging expertise, and the ability to translate trends into impactful retail-ready packaging across categories.

Key Responsibilities
Packaging Design & Development
  • Design creative and compelling packaging across multiple product categories including tech, beauty, kitchen, outdoor, LED, and general merchandise
  • Develop innovative packaging concepts that align with market trends and retail expectations
  • Execute packaging from initial concept through final production-ready files
  • Ensure all designs meet both brand and retailer requirements
Brand Development & Management
  • Create and develop new private label brands from concept to execution
  • Maintain and evolve existing brand identities across product lines
  • Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and visual presentation across all packaging
Trend Analysis & Creative Direction
  • Stay current on design, fashion, and packaging trends across relevant industries
  • Translate trend insights into commercially viable packaging concepts
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align design direction with product and market strategy
Production & Technical Execution
  • Prepare final artwork files for production, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Develop and manage packaging tech packs, dielines, and print specifications
  • Ensure all files meet factory and printing requirements
  • Maintain organized file structures and version control for all design assets
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with product development, sourcing, and production teams to execute packaging requirements
  • Incorporate feedback from internal teams and retail partners into design revisions
  • Support product launches with packaging that enhances shelf presence and customer appeal
