Job summary

South Texas College is seeking a Graphic Designer I at the Pecan Campus in McAllen to design and produce college publications and digital content for the Finance and Administrative Services division.

You will create layouts for brochures, posters, reports, and websites, using Adobe Creative Suite, manage multiple projects to meet deadlines, and collaborate with Public Relations, Marketing, staff and students to deliver polished materials that support the college’s mission.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Graphic Design, Art, or related field.
• Strong graphic design and page layout skills.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Produces Desktop publishing for assigned projects.
• Provides layout and design for brochures, posters, reports, and other publications.
• Creates artwork, images, text, and graphic design for publications and reports.
• Works as part of a team to ensure projects are accurate and timely.
• Prepares routine correspondence, forms, and reports.
• Interacts with students, staff, and the public via email and phone.
• Documents and maintains status reports of projects.
• Presents design solutions to supervisor and division departments.
• Produces photography and video content per project specs.
• Keeps division websites updated as needed.
