Summary: This is a team position! When a task comes in, raise your hand if you are available to help. All designs are to be done in Canva so they can easily be shared with the team. Designs must follow brand guidelines. Reports directly to the Branding Squad Lead. Knowledge of basic graphic design is a must; good composition, use of color, typography, etc.
Rescue Mission: At Path of Hope Rescue we save pregnant dogs and puppies in high kill shelters in the South.
Rescue Overview: Our Spokane, WA based Rescue strives to decrease the euthanasia rate of high risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We do not have a kennel or building location and are 100% foster based. We currently have two paid employees and rely heavily on volunteers and fosters.
Vision: Eliminating euthanasia of dogs in the South by decreasing the amount of dogs breeding unchecked. Becoming the number one dog destination in Spokane and capitalizing on Spokane's love of Rescue Dogs.

Our Graphic Designers are part of a team responsible for creating visually compelling and emotionally engaging designs that support the rescue's mission to save and find homes for Texas dogs. This role involves developing a wide range of visual content, including promotional materials, social media graphics, website banners, infographics, newsletters, and event flyers. The designer must have a strong understanding of branding and ensure that all designs are consistent with the rescue's visual identity and messaging. They collaborate closely with the marketing teams to create content that effectively communicates the stories of the dogs, highlights upcoming events, and engages the community. Attention to detail and creativity are essential, as the designer must produce high-quality visuals that resonate with the audience and inspire action.
In addition to creating promotional materials, the Graphic Designer also plays a key role in developing educational content to inform the public about dog care, adoption processes, and the rescue's needs. This includes designing brochures, posters, and digital content that convey important information in a clear and appealing manner. The designer must stay updated on the latest design trends and tools to keep the organization's visuals fresh and impactful. They should also be proficient in using the design software Canva. Strong communication and organizational skills are vital, as the designer needs to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work closely with different teams within the rescue. By combining artistic talent with a passion for animal welfare, the Graphic Designer will help the rescue raise awareness, attract donors and volunteers, and ultimately find loving homes for our dogs.
