Job summary

FASTSIGNS Parker/Castle Rock is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer to join our Tempe team. You will create computer-generated full-color graphics and vinyl outputs, assist customers with design options, and ensure accurate production preparation.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of graphic design experience, 2–3 years in retail or counter sales, and strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, communication, and organization. Competitive pay, benefits, and advancement opportunities are offered.

Responsibilities

• Create computer-generated full-color graphics and/or vinyl output for printing and mounting
• Complete or modify designs from customer drawings or files for final output
• Determine size and arrangement of materials and layout based on space, design and production needs
• Inspect jobs for accuracy and ensure correct materials and output device settings
• Maintain customer logo library and convert graphic files as needed
• Assist customers via email, phone, and walk-ins; help solve problems
• Meet with clients at their location to discuss signage options

A Successful FASTSIGNS Graphic Designer/Customer Service Rep Will

• Create computer-generated full-color graphics and/or vinyl output that can be printed and mounted to a substrate or weeded, cut and applied
• Complete or modify designs from customer drawings, files, or exact output of customer-provided design for output to media
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements.
• Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output. Ensure correct material is used for each job and output device settings are accurate
• Maintain customer logo library; convert graphic files
• Enjoy talking with and helping people solve problems
• Help customers via email, phone calls, and walk-ins
• Meet with Clients at Their Location to Discuss Options for Signage

Ideal Qualifications For FASTSIGNS Graphic Designer

• 2-3 years of retail or counter sales experience preferred
• 1-2 years of graphic design experience
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
• Outgoing, responsive, eager to learn and has the ability to build relationships
• Ability to prioritize jobs, multi-task, and work autonomously
• Great listening and organization skills
• Sit and view a computer screen for long periods (4 hours or more)
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work

Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
