Job summary

The City of Saint Charles is seeking a Graphic Designer in the Communication and Marketing department to develop creative designs for city magazines, newsletters, flyers, posters, collateral materials, videos, the website, and social media channels.

You will ensure brand consistency across print and digital media, support marketing campaigns, social media visuals, photos and videos, and collaborate with staff to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a graphic designer.
• Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with web design and content management systems.
• Photography editing skills.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively under tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Marketing, Digital media, or related field.
• Additional qualifications in web design or animation are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality graphic elements for print and digital materials.
• Support the design and production of marketing campaigns including social media content and emails.
• Create shareable digital content such as photographs, social graphics, and short videos.
• Assist the Communications and Marketing team with new projects and other duties as assigned.
• Coordinate with team to produce digital content aligned with branding goals.
