Job summary

The City of Saint Charles is seeking a Graphic Designer to develop creative design concepts and visual content for the City’s communication and marketing initiatives, including the City magazine, newsletters, flyers, posters, collateral materials, videos, the website, and social media channels.

The role helps ensure brand consistency and strengthens the overall effectiveness of the City’s communication efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a graphic designer.
• Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with web design and content management systems.
• Photography editing skills.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively under tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality graphic elements for both print and digital communication and marketing materials.
• Support the design and production of marketing campaigns including social media content, targeted emails, online advertising, and event promotions.
• Create shareable digital content such as photographs, social media graphics, short videos, blog visuals, and other multimedia assets.
• Assist the Communications and Marketing team with the execution of new projects and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Coordinate with team members to produce strategic digital content that reflects industry best practices and aligns with City branding and communication goals.
