Job summary

The Center for Justice Innovation in Manhattan, NY seeks a qualified graphic designer to support Neighborhood Safety Initiatives (NSI) through participatory design, branding, and communications. You will collaborate with organizers, residents, and funders to produce compelling visual content across multiple media.

The role is full-time hybrid, Mon-Fri, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, with occasional evening/weekend hours and travel across NYC.

Qualifications

BA and a minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design.
Knowledge of design software including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Proven ability to design materials that elevate community voices.
Dedication to social justice and equity in marketing materials.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

Develop and design collateral and communications materials for NSI and MAP initiatives.
Create templates for flyers, banners, and digital collateral.
Support editing of communications and marketing materials such as posters, postcards, and e-newsletters.
Coordinate with organizers and residents to obtain information for design collateral and campaigns.
Support content creation for community projects and participatory processes.
Assist in creating visuals for permits and training modules.
Ensure accuracy and editorial detail across materials.
