Solutions Through Innovative Technologies, Inc (STI-TEC) is seeking a technically skilled Visual Designer to support a centralized media center for USDOT. You will design artwork for digital displays and publications, manage print costs, and advise clients on production methods and schedules while ensuring 508 compliance.

The role requires expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud, Enfocus Pitstop Pro, and XMPie, plus strong branding capabilities.

• Branding: ability to develop visual media that complies with agency branding and graphic standards.

Responsibilities

• Estimate costs for printing/graphics procurement; create bid specifications; manage GPO regulations.
• Provide guidance to agency customers on production methods, cost estimates, and delivery schedules.
• Manage the agency's digital display systems (monitors/signage) for proper playback.
• Ensure all digital graphic assets are fully Section 508 compliant.

Position Overview

DOT is modernizing its multimedia operations by creating a centralized, shared-services media center to support the Office of the Secretary and DOT agencies. The effort will provide professional video production, livestreaming, podcasting, AV support, and animation to deliver consistent, high-impact, Section 508-compliant communications across the Department.

Essential Job Function

• Visual Design:Design artwork for digital displays, social media, and hardcopy publications.
• Print Management:Estimate costs for printing/graphics procurement; create bid specifications; and manage GPO contract regulations.
• Technical Advisory:Provide guidance to agency customers on production methods, cost estimates, and delivery schedules.
• Digital Display:Manage the agency's digital display systems (monitors/signage) ensuring all files are formatted for proper playback.
• Accessibility:Ensure all digital graphic assets are fully Section 508 compliant.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge:Advanced knowledge of printing/binding processes and Federal Procurement Regulations (Title 44).

Travel

The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT)/Office of the Secretary (OST) expects Contractors to be available for travel, as needed for on-site production with USDOT leadership. Travel is estimated at 60% for East Coast locations, 20% for Midwest locations, and 20% for West Coast locations.

COMPENSATION / SALARY RANGE:

STI-TECadheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. The following salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc.
