Job description

This role is a contract-to-hire position with an initial contract period of 90 days, with the opportunity to convert to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who can move fast, stay organized, and turn out good work.

This is a hands‑on, production‑heavy role supporting primarily automotive clients, along with a mix of retail, non‑automotive, and other agency accounts. There are a lot of moving pieces, tight deadlines, and plenty of days where priorities change halfway through.

You might spend the morning building out a monthly automotive campaign across digital, social, email, print, and outdoor, then switch gears to update offers, resize a campaign into 20 different placements, or jump onto something completely unrelated for another client.

You’ll work closely with art directors, copywriters, and other designers to keep a high volume of work moving through the agency.

Your day-to-day
  • Design and produce a high volume of work for automotive clients, including monthly sales events, vehicle offers, dealership campaigns, service and parts promotions, and brand initiatives.
  • Build creative for digital display, paid and organic social, email, websites, landing pages, print, direct mail, outdoor, point‑of‑sale, and dealership materials.
  • Take approved campaign creative and extend it across different sizes, formats, vehicles, offers, markets, and placements.
  • Deal with the everyday reality of automotive advertising: changing offers, pricing, incentives, DISCLAIMERS, vehicle imagery, model information, and plenty of last‑minute updates.
  • Work quickly without getting careless. Things move fast, but the details still have to be right.
  • Support our non‑automotive and retail clients when needed. The work may look different, but the same attention to detail applies.
  • Work within OEM, client, and agency brand standards without making everything feel cookie‑cutter.
  • Keep multiple jobs moving at the same time and adjust when priorities or deadlines change.
  • Check your own work. Offers, pricing, typography, vehicle imagery, specs, DISCLAIMERS, logos, and brand standards all matter.
  • Use Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign every day. These should already feel like home.
  • Use Abyssale as part of our high‑volume digital production workflow to build and version web banner campaigns across multiple sizes, vehicles, offers, and markets. It helps us take approved creative and scale it efficiently without manually rebuilding every banner from scratch. (Experience within Abyssale is not required)
  • Use tools like Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, Claude, and whatever comes next when they can help with image creation, concepting, production, versioning, or simply getting something done faster.
  • Jump in when something needs to get done, supporting your fellow designers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of professional graphic design or production experience. Agency, automotive, retail, or another high‑volume environment is a big plus.
  • A portfolio that shows strong design fundamentals and the ability to work across different brands, styles, and channels.
  • Strong Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign skills.
  • Solid production chops. You should be comfortable taking one approved design and turning it into a lot of different pieces without losing consistency along the way.
  • A good eye for typography, layout, hierarchy, composition, imagery, and the little details that make something feel finished.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when dealing with pricing, offers, DISCLAIMERS, and specs.
  • Organization to keep track of a lot of projects, revisions, and deadlines at the same time.
  • Automotive advertising experience is great, but high‑volume retail experience translates really well.
You’ll love it if ...

You like being busy.

You understand that changing a price, vehicle, offer, or disclaimer might sound like a quick change, but it still has to be done correctly.

You can take one campaign and figure out how it becomes a billboard, social post, web banner, email, landing page, showroom graphic, and three other things that weren’t on the list yesterday.

You don’t mind production work because you understand that production work is still design. You notice when the type is off. You care about the crop. You fix the spacing. You catch the wrong vehicle image. You don’t send something out just because nobody else noticed the problem.

You can follow a system without becoming robotic.

You ask questions when something doesn’t make sense.

Not every project here is going into your portfolio.

But everything that leaves the department should be something you’re comfortable putting your name on.
